Privacy policy

• What you post. Photos, title, description, price, dimensions, the suburb, and the must-go-by date. This is public. Anyone can see it, and search engines can index it.
• Your contact details. Your name, email address and, if you give one, phone number. These are not shown on your listing. We show them only to someone who asks for them with the “Show contact details” button, or who pays to unlock them.
• Payment records. When you pay the $1 fee, your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store them. We keep a Stripe reference and a record of which listing you unlocked.
• Bundles. Which listings are linked, the combined price and each owner's share.
• Your IP address, briefly. To slow down spam and scraping we count how often an address posts, reveals contact details or starts a payment. We store only a one-way scrambled (hashed) version, with a timestamp, and delete it after about a day.

We do not use advertising or analytics trackers, and we do not set tracking cookies. (Stripe's payment page, which is on Stripe's own site, may set its own cookies.)

• to email you your private edit link, and to send bundle proposals and updates;
• to take the $1 fee and unlock contact details;
• to prevent spam and abuse, and to keep the site secure;
• to meet our legal obligations.

Other users. Your listing is public. Your contact details are given to people who reveal them, and to an owner who pays to unlock them to arrange a bundle. If someone proposes a bundle with you, we email you the details of the proposal, but not their contact details.

Service providers. We use other companies to run the site: Supabase (our database and photo storage), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email) and Stripe (payments). They handle information only to provide their service to us. Some are based overseas, including in the United States, so your information may be stored or processed outside Australia.

We do not sell your information. We may disclose it if the law requires, or to protect people or the site from harm.

A listing stops being public when you mark it sold, when its must-go-by date passes, or after 60 days. When a listing expires, we automatically delete its photos. Photos of a listing you marked as sold are kept so you can relist it. Apart from expired photos, the record, including the contact details you gave us, stays in our systems until you ask us to delete it. Email us and we will delete your listings, photos and contact details, except what we must keep by law, such as payment records.

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. Use your private edit link to change or hide a listing yourself. For anything else, email hello@bundlemate.store.

If you're unhappy with how we handled a request, you can complain to us, and if we don't resolve it, to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, including keeping contact details and edit links off public pages. No system is completely secure, so please keep your edit link private. The site is not for anyone under 18.

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. Our Terms of use explain the rules for using the site.
